This notice explains how Loop32 Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through the website loop32.com and through email to hello@loop32.com.

1. Who we are

The controller is Loop32 Ltd, company number 17484788, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. You can write to us at hello@loop32.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

2. What this site does

loop32.com is a public landing page and this privacy notice. We do not set cookies or use analytics on the public site.

3. What we collect and why

We collect personal data only in the two ways below. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Register for updates (consent)

If you use “Register for updates”, we rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR. The form tells you: “We’ll email you occasional updates about Loop32. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our privacy policy.” Submitting the form is your agreement to that. Signing up is optional. It is not a statutory or contractual requirement. If you do not sign up, we simply do not email you updates.

We record your email address, the time you signed up, and which version of the consent wording you saw. We use that information to send you occasional updates about Loop32 from hello@loop32.com, and to honour an unsubscribe. Unsubscribing withdraws consent; we then delete the live record. We do not sell the list.

Email to hello@ (legitimate interests)

If you write to hello@loop32.com, we rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR to read and reply. The interest is answering your enquiry. We need your address and the message in order to reply. Emailing us does not add you to the updates list. The contents of your email may include your name or other details you choose to include.

4. Who we share data with

Amazon Web Services hosts the site, stores the subscription list in Ireland, and sends the update emails. Google Workspace provides the hello@ mailbox. They process personal data on our instructions.

We may disclose personal data if the law requires it. If the business is sold, the subscription list may pass to the buyer as the new controller. We would only continue updates for that list if the law allows, which may mean asking for fresh consent. We do not sell the list.

5. Where data is processed

Amazon Web Services stores the subscription list in Ireland. The United Kingdom treats the European Economic Area as adequate, so that storage is covered by the UK adequacy regulations for the EEA.

Amazon Web Services may process a website request, including a signup, outside the United Kingdom. Google may process mailbox contents outside the United Kingdom. Where a transfer is not covered by adequacy, we rely on the provider’s appropriate safeguard under Article 46 of the UK GDPR (their standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum, or another mechanism in their data-processing terms). You can ask us for a copy of the relevant clauses by writing to hello@loop32.com.

6. How long we keep data

We keep a subscription record while you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we delete it from the live list. A backup can restore a deleted record for up to 35 days.

We keep inbound hello@ mail while we need it to handle that correspondence, and then delete it when it is no longer needed. We keep it longer only if there is a complaint or a real prospect of a legal claim.

7. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to be informed, to access your personal data, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability (for the consent-based updates list), and to object.

You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an update email or by writing to hello@loop32.com. Withdrawal of consent and objection to direct marketing are absolute: unsubscribing stops the updates.

You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. For correspondence at hello@, we may continue only if we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if we need the data for a legal claim. That does not apply to marketing.

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter.

We respond to rights requests within one month. There is no fee unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. We may ask for information to confirm your identity.

8. Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Security

We encrypt the updates list and limit access to the company’s directors. If you think something is wrong, please write to hello@loop32.com.

10. Changes

We will update this page and change the date when this notice changes. If a change means we need fresh consent before emailing the updates list, we will ask before we rely on it.
